HIDDEN COLORS series offer abstraction with a contemporary flair.  Each work focuses on color, shape and texture. Opposed to seeing paper paint swatches become organic waste, Treg collected thousands of swatches to cut out squares and rectangular shapes. He carefully hand placed each cutout into cell blocks of colors to form specific patterns and glued them to the canvas. Then Treg painted over all of the color patterns. To complete the painting, Treg used an electric sander over the entire canvas allowing HIDDEN COLORS to emerge.  Each canvas is uniquely a one of a kind creation of color overtones. The result is a silky-smooth surface of shades of color that dramatically pop.
